Year-end Geography review? Or listing culminating literature projects? Integrate Travel Plans! Assign the location of your review or encourage students to choose a city from their reading they would really like to visit.
- Plan the trip. Use mapbooks and road atlases to plan the route. What great sights might you see as you travel?
Calculate costs along the way.
- Use city guide books, brochures, videos/DVDs from a library or travel agent or visit the city’s tourism section on the internet. What special places would you like to see in the city you chose? Why?
Calculate costs of tour, sights, accommodations, food.
- Use overhead transparencies or presentation software to show your class your route, your city, your tourist choices. And the budget you will need!
